Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I apologize for this coming out so late in the day. Pani and I have been industriously working away on our 25 year collection of stuff in Brasstown. I have often read of a study cited by people who are minimalists, saying that the average American home contains 300,000 separate items or things. If that is true, I think Pani and I have disposed of 200,000. Tomorrow Pani is driving a load of things belonging to Allyson to Asheville, and next weekend we are moving Lillian to Cullowhee. We must be in the home stretch!

1. We will serve Great Vespers on Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m., and Divine Liturgy Sunday morning at 10:00 am. On Wednesday evening we will serve Small Compline at 6:00. We will not have Vespers on Saturday, November 17, but we will have Divine Liturgy the next day.

2. Remember that the Nativity Fast begins on Thursday, November 15.

3. St. Nicholas and our parish feast day are on the horizon, as is the Nativity itself. If you are willing to help organize those days, please let me know!

I hope to see you all this weekend!

In Christ,

Fr. James
